from the stanford daily, a college newspaper from stanford which is perhaps on the road to becoming a leading research center for stem-cell technology not only in california but also in the world, is this recent article on a new technique called "altered nuclear transfer," which among other things, seems to have attracted a positive attention from san francisco's catholic archbishop william levada. it is too detailed a technique to describe here, so, hopefully the link would help give you some accessible information on this exciting new method. as with the archbishop though, i'd remain cautious.
