we're melting!

And it is another hot day here in the Bay Area. Yesterday I drove to the beach in San Francisco, and it was so nice and cool, with the fog rolling in. But in other parts of the Bay Area, especially inland, it was sweltering. Temperatures reached 115 degrees in several spots.

34 have died due to the heat, and it seems that the hot temperatures will remain for another few days.

The extra bite is that people are being told to conserve energy, which means cuttting down on the use of air-conditioning. Plus, there have been power outages, due to extra use of power (no doubt because of all those air-conditioners running).
